Executive Coaching

With the demands of running multiple business units and divisions, it can be hard for executives to focus on leadership development. However, leadership skills at this level are vital to ensuring positive alignment and productivity throughout the organization. Executives are constantly under the spotlight and every action is scrutinized by various layers within an organization. It is important that leadership interactions are authentic, purposeful and meaningful with intent.

We provide executives with toolsets to help them continually develop their leadership. It is important to understand that the leadership journey doesn't stop when you are an executive, it merely transitions into a new phase. Our Executive Coaching Services have three elements for success:

  • First, we perform observation and engagement of those with daily or frequent interaction with the executive. We will perform 1-1 meetings to gather feedback and information. This is collected with anonymity to foster open and authentic feedback. Results at this stage are typically not presented to the Executive so that behaviors are not altered before the next phase. Investigative actions are taken with permission such as reviewing calendars, employee appraisals, and communications. The goal of this phase is to understand how others view the executive and how the executive has conducted themselves. There are no right or wrongs, this is simply an observational phase to better understand the environment.

The typical timeline for phase one is 30 days
  • Next, we begin to observe the executive directly. Usually, this means attending meetings, joining 1-1 meetings, etc. Our goal for phase two is to bridge observations made or given in phase 1 with reality. In many cases, perceptions have built up from past sometimes emotional interactions. These perceptions may alter how people view the executive for right or wrong. We would be misplaced not to identify these perceptions and work on them in the next phase. Otherwise, we would not be taking the holistic approach to improving leadership skills but rather just scratching the surface.

The typical timeline for phase two is 3 months
  • The final phase begins the leadership improvements. From information gathered in previous phases, our experts will asses how much change can be tolerated and how quickly it can be consumed. Typically we implement changes over 3-6 months. The most important leadership changes occur earlier in the journey and take the most facilitation to make successful. Changes later in the journey may be smaller and require less direct feedback from our experts. The later timeline of this phase can transition into less on-site time. The transition can be weekly Skype 1-1 sessions to discuss challenges and progress.

The typical timeline for phase three is 6 months
  • For executive clients, we provide follow up services included. It is important that leadership changes continue to be positive and provide value to the organization at all levels. This typically supports leadership improvement efforts throughout the organization as a whole and why it is so important and included in our coaching. Follow up services go through the same phases (1-3) however at an accelerated pace.

The typical timeline for follow up phase is 3 months
